Certification

   At Battle Ridge Kennels & K9 Services, LLC every K9 team that successfully completes training receives a certificate of achievement which states we have put our stamp of approval on the performance level of that team.

   Battle Ridge Kennels & K9 Services, LLC also offers handler courses for detector dogs as well as those for dual purpose. The course, depending on the handler/K9 team usually takes 3-4 weeks. We usually run two sessions a day to give the handler more hands on training. The rate of progress differs from student to student, therefore handler courses are geared to fit the needs of the particular student.

    There are trainers that claim to have the most scenario based training in the world and that their certifications are based on real life scenarios. As a K9 trainer for nearly 20 years, I believe scenario based training should be the norm and not a boast!!

   The trainers here at Battle Ridge K9 possess street experience that they pass on to the students. The only claim we make is that we will provide you with a quality K9 partner, that is driven to work and expose all handlers, new as well as experienced, to in-depth, one on one, tactical training.

   Battle Ridge Kennels & K9 Services, LLC offers certification that meets national standards in the following areas: Patrol/utility work, narcotic detection, explosive detection and tracking/trailing. After attending our handler course and certification, K9 teams are encouraged to attend certification through a national organization of their choice.
